Chili Lime Steak Tacos
Upgrade your ordinary Taco Tuesdays by serving this delicious and flavorful alternative to the standard taco using flat iron strips, a citrusy chili lime seasoning, avocado, cilantro and queso fresco.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Place flat iron strips in a small bowl and cover with fresh lime juice and let marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- Remove flat iron strips from marinade, sprinkle with chili lime seasoning, and transfer to a heated cast iron skillet or flat top grill coated with olive oil.
- Cook to medium temperature and remove from heat and let rest.
- While the meat is resting, grill tortillas for 5 minutes on each side and set aside.
- Place a few of the flat iron strips on the tortilla, top with red onion, avocado cilantro and queso fresco.
- Squeeze with fresh lime juice if desired.
- Serve open-faced or folded in half.
